Update 13/7/2000 - This was great fun to complete,
possibly as most of the problems faced were visual and they're always
more fun to handle !.
I must admit to a crime however, having spent nearly an hour shooting
the sky here in Singapore and not getting one single cloud to move more
than a foot, I raided Baraka for clouds. I'll attempt to pay for my crime
by urging you to check out this movie if you haven't already done so.

Update 7/8/2000 - Well as usual it's all change again. I've decided
to use this piece as my show reel opener, and the composition and treatment
have changed. The typo isn't complete and I'm unsure about the level of
grain.
In case you're wondering the change was due to my recent experiments with
photography, I happened to be using a very fast black and white film which
gave a result similar to this.

Concept - This is something I've been drawing for years, and it
just struck me I'd like to make it now.
The idea is as simple as can be, the character sits motionless leaning
against a wall as the clouds rush by outside. That's it !, nothing much
happens.
Right now I'm trying to figure out the lighting. As you can see I'm composing
the image for a 2.35:1 aspect ratio which is another first for me and
is proving very satisfying !.
The paintings of Edward Hopper have been a big influence on this short,
having recently read a book about his work I came back to this idea full
of renewed enthusiasm.
